Contro le mostre

XXIX-I-MMXXIIII

It is an Italian trend: always the same exhibitions, around ten thousand a year, designed to entertain the same audience again and again. According to Tomaso Montanari and Vincenzo Trione, we should start doing serious, educational and free exhibitions again. All the arguments on this issue can be read in a 2017 book, published by Einaudi, entitled Contro le mostre (Against exhibitions).
It is interesting because public exhibitions are important both to entertain and to form a taste and grow new knowledgeable collectors.
